Gita Roloff

Gita is a food alchemist, gardener, recipe developer and community weaver.

born on a remote island in unceded Coast Salish territory, Gita’s life and work is guided by her deep reverence for the natural world. her ocean centered upbringing instilled in her a deep understanding of reciprocity that she reflects in all of her creative expression. Gita sees her food as a prayerful offering of love to her clients and community.

cooking as medicine for the soul and a conduit for joy.

her menus honor both body and land — mindfully sourced, rooted in seasonal abundance and made in partnership with local farmers.  her cooking style is inspired by the seasons and draws inspiration from many different cultures around the world to create an exciting and deeply nourishing culinary experience.

her curated dinner parties are collaborative spaces where people gather to be nourished in body and spirit. through thoughtfully prepared meals and intentional design, Gita invites her guests into experiences that awaken creativity, deepen connection, and celebrate beauty. she views the table as a place where community well-being and resilience can grow. each table she sets becomes a place for curiosity, imagination, remembering and shared joy.

Gita works closely with her personal chef clients to create dishes that nourish and support their personal body ecology and healing journey. she understands feeding others to be an intimate act and her relationship with her clients honors this intimacy by creating a safe and welcoming space for feedback and communication to take place. gita cooks both full diet and plant based menus using local and organically grown ingredients.

when she isn’t creating in the kitchen, Gita spends her time tending to her garden, writing, deepening her mindfulness practice and playing in the ocean.

I was able to enjoy Gita’s cooking for an entire weekend and it was
an amazing experience.
Her fresh ingredients and the way that she combines spices made
each exquisite dish extraordinary.
In addition, the energy that she brought to our weekend was
uniquely positive and enjoyable.

I cannot recommend Gita more highly.
After our first catered event together,
I struggled to find words to convey her phenomenal cooking.
In the end, I could only say,
“Her cooking is an expression of love. It actually tastes like love.”
